LITTLE MAN NEEDS
A SPECIAL HOME Little Man was found in a yard near Shippenville, missing part of his back left leg and with several other wounds. A kind woman took Little Man in, placed him in a large crate in her basement to keep him from her other house cats. She nursed him back to health. When he was strong enough, Little Man was neutered at the very first Clarion PAWS & Animal Friends mobile spay-neuter clinic in April. His stump of a leg was not healed, but Little Man just tucked the rest of his leg up under his body and happily walked about his crate. An antibiotic was ordered and administered, with the hope that the stump would heal over, but that didn’t work. Little Man’s leg was amputated. What an amazing feline! His foster mom, Heather, said he loves belly rubs and at every opportunity rolls on his back for an anticipated rub. Less than 24 hours after surgery, Little Man was asking every volunteer at the Clarion PAWS clinic to rub his belly, take his paw in their hand and tickle him behind the ears. The fact that he just had a leg amputated had no effect on him what so ever—he’s his usual loving and active self. We’ll never know for sure how Little Man was injured. But what we do know is that Little Man is a very special cat and will make someone a wonderful companion. His foster family will have a very hard time watching him go as he has worked his way into all of their hearts, but the family already has three other cats. They just can not keep him. Foster mom, Heather, has asked Clarion PAWS to help her find just the right home for Little Man. If you think that you have “just the right home” for this courageous Little Man, please contact Clarion PAWS at 814-229-1231 or email us at
