Pet Food Bank

Clarion PAWS established a pet food bank program to promote and advance humane and protective care and treatment of companion animals by positive community interaction.

We all know that taking care of a pet is a life-long commitment.  In a perfect world, everyone would be able to provide for their pets’ needs.  But ours is not a perfect world.  In these extremely uncertain times many of us find that our financial circumstances are changing for the worse.  Where that is the case, Clarion PAWS will be helping to ease the financial burden of feeding your pet by distributing donated pet food and litter from the PAWS house located on the Clarion River Hill.  The physical address is 11348 Rt. 322, Shippenville, PA.  The food bank is open during regular hours.  Mon.-Thurs. 5 til 7 pm, closed Fri., open Sat. 1-4 pm and closed Sun.

Pet food and cat litter is distributed on a first come, first serve basis to individuals who meet certain low income-fixed income guidelines.  This program will operate as long as we receive donated pet foods from local businesses, private donations and organized food drives by private individuals.

Clarion PAWS’ Pet Food Bank is funded solely by pet food donations and administered completely by volunteers.  We accept any brand of dog food or cat food and cat litter.    Individuals, school children, civic clubs and other organizations and businesses have been a tremendous support to our pet food program through privately held food drives.

We distribute pet food and cat litter, as often as we have donations to support, to low income and fixed income individuals who depend almost completely on Clarion PAWS to help feed their pets.  Our warehouse inventory is always close to being depleted and any and all contributions towards our program are deeply appreciated.  For more information or if you have questions, you should email information@clarionpaws.org or call 814-229-1231.
