YOU DID IT! Clarion PAWS is blessed to have reached our goal of $5000 in donations from our holiday donation mailing. This goal was accomplished in just 6 weeks! Thank you to everyone who made this happen and guaranteed Clarion PAWS a match of $5000 so that we can continue our life-saving programs. Dear Friends,
Louisa May Alcott in her gentle soothing words said, “The rooms were very still while the pages were softly turned and the winter sunshine crept in to touch the bright heads and serious faces with a Christmas greeting”. Many animals will be basking in the sunlight in their very own forever homes this holiday season because of the work of Clarion PAWS.
Bella, Augustine, Maggie, Maddie, Sidney, Esther and Frannie were seven of twenty puppies living on a property
with ten adult dogs and no humans to care for them on a regular basis. The owners were in jail. The dogs were left to fend for themselves. Clarion PAWS volunteers worked with other members of the family to make sure the dogs had plenty of food and water. Then Clarion PAWS completed the legal process for relinquishment of the dogs. Seventeen puppies were placed in adoptive homes and two of the adult dogs were placed with rescue organizations due to the efforts of Clarion PAWS.
Lucy, a beautiful calico cat, was turned out to fend for herself. A PAWS volunteer took her in. While in foster care, Lucy delivered five kittens. Lucy and her kittens needed special medical care to help them survive. Clarion PAWS was there to provide them with the care they needed and help them all find loving homes. They, too, will be basking in the sunshine this holiday season.
Sadly, too many companion animals in our area will never know the touch of the sunshine in their very own home this Christmas. With your help, we can make a difference. Please consider giving generously to help us build a community where there are no more homeless pets. For gifts made to Clarion PAWS through January 31, 2012 an anonymous donor will match DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR up to $5000 of additional support. This means that a $25 gift becomes $50 to buy pet food and supplies. A $50 gift turns into $100 to spay or neuter animals. Every dollar makes double the difference!
